Interestingly there once was a model called “William” who was a lower cost version of Charles. Not many were made. You’ve almost certainly heard of the Henry vacuum– now meet his bigger brother Charles. The Numatic Charles vacuum is an excellent all-round model with powerful suction, 9 litre wet capacity, a cleaning range of nearly 27 metres (which is much larger than the Karcher WD3 P) and large filters. Charles is the same size as Edward for dry use and uses the same filter and bags. When using as a wet vacuum simply change the filter and remove the bag. After your requirements, the suction power is probably the most important consideration. Many wet/dry vacuums provide excellent suction, resulting in a more thorough clean.

Weight. The weight of a vacuum is often overlooked. Don’t make this mistake though – a heavy vacuum can turn cleaning into a workout rather than saving you time. The Karcher WD3 P Tough Vac, as the name suggests, is a durable vacuum that’s built for serious jobs. It also has a large 30 litre capacity, although it’s worth mentioning that the actual maximum is lower than this (the exact capacity depends on whether you use a bag.) Swapping between wet and dry modes requires removing the bag, but this is standard for most vacuums in this category. There’s also a blow function, which can be useful when cleaning or blowing leaves. Fun Fact : Interestingly Hetty was not the first female vacuum by Numatic. “Wendy” was released in 1997 in a very limited number. She is green... yes green.. and is steel not plastic. Goodbye Harry..... Sadly Harry's days are numbered with the recent release of the 'Henry Pet' which has the same tools and features as Harry.
