The easy to use app includes metering for all 90 channels plus effects bus, different setup screens, and complete control of all features. RME’s latest software, TotalMix Remote, further enhances the functionality of the Fireface. This allows for remote control of the Fireface from multiple devices. This becomes greatly beneficial when using the UCX II in live environments, allowing you to walk around the space and adjust the sound. This is similarly beneficial when you are monitoring in an external control room to the studio space. Existing RME users will be well-aware of TotalMix FX – RME’s software digital mixing controller, included free with all RME audio interfaces – which provides full routing and mixing control over all 40 channels of the Fireface UCX II, with EQ and Dynamics on every channel, plus Reverb and Delay FX sends.

One of the most noticeable changes in comparison with the original Fireface UCX is the new front panel, which for the UCX II has been updated to reflect that of other next-generation RME devices (such as the Fireface UFX+ and RME 12Mic), and allows full and immediate access to all features of the interface.The RME Fireface UCX II can also integrate with RME's optional ARC USB remote control (sold separately).

With that in mind, RME chose to build on the foundations of the original, designing a product with all the hallmarks of an RME product whilst adding a whole host of additional functionality. The RME DURec feature is found on the Fireface UFX+, UFX II and UFX audio interfaces. It allows for direct, chan nel-for-channel (20 in the case of the UCX II) TotalMix DSP mixer with parametric 3-band EQ, high pass, delay, reverb, compressor, expander and auto level - completely latency-free and storable The company's reputation for build quality, reliability and audio performance has made it an industry benchmark across the world.

Like other RME products before the Fireface 802 combines excellent analog circuit design with latest digital conversion technology. All balanced TRS & XLR I/Os as well as the two phones outputs offer outstanding low noise and distortion values.
